Icy Sensory

Inspired by our current theme of 'winter weather', Pre-school enjoyed exploring some icy sensory play. After discussing which colours remind us of the cold, we added white shaving foam, blue Duplo, ice cubes, bubble wrap & different coloured tissue paper to our tray. We talked about different words to do with the ‘cold' & added some toy animals that live in chilly environments. We practiced making different marks in our concoction with our fingers, lollipop sticks & with ice cubes & discovered that if you clap when you have foam on your hands it looks like it’s snowing!
