Happy Mother's Day!

Our Pre-School wanted to do something special for Mother’s Day, so they each made a decorated potted plant & a card for their Mummy.

First, with the help of Gemma & Beth, they added some sunflower seeds & soil to their terracotta pots & then decorated them with finger painting. Whilst doing this, they discussed how things grow from something small to something big as well as the different colours of paint they were using.

They then each made a beautiful flower from different coloured cards & more paint to place in the pot until the real flowers grow. For their Mother’s Day cards, they made their handprints look like yummy cupcakes for the front & practised writing their own name inside.
