Sensational Fun

This week at Lansdowne, The Under 2s & 1-2-3s have enjoyed exploring our sensory room. Sensory play is an important part of our development. Everyone loved the rope lights & naming all the different colours we could see in them. Of course, the bubble machine was also a favourite; we watched the dreamy bubbles float about, then we tried to pop as many as possible!

We also tried some relaxing sensory bottles with different coloured glitter swirling around inside moving fast & slow depending on how quickly we moved the bottles. Sensory play helps us to learn about what’s going on around us & supports our language development, social interaction & can also be very comforting.
