Terrific Tadpoles

Pre-school marvelled at the adorable tadpoles two of our grandparents kindly brought in from their garden. They also brought in a book all about tadpoles & frogs for us to read together. We took turns to look at the book & discussed our knowledge of how tadpoles turn into frogs.

We compared the real tadpoles to the pictures in the book to see if we could figure out where they were in their life cycle & how old they might be. Then, we put pictures into the right order of the different stages of a frog’s life cycle, following how they grow. Finally, we all tried to move like a tadpole or a frog, seeing who could jump the highest & furthest!
